Summary

This is an update to EPN657 – Easements to be extended

In line with our commitment to review the position on ceasing easements, as set out in EPN657, we can now confirm that easements will remain in place beyond 31 May 2022.

This includes all easements set out in EPN602.

Actions

No action is required by members or employers at this time. The revised processes introduced as part of the easements will continue as they have been since April 2020.

Timing

Immediate

Detail

The easements that were introduced to support members during the COVID19 pandemic (brought in under EPN602) are to remain in place beyond Tuesday 31 May 2022.

The easements relating to employers (also announced under EPN602) are to revert back to a business as usual footing. However, there will be some changes to the DR1 and CSP16 process in the near future to make the process more efficient.

In the meantime, we are in the process of identifying alternative, more permanent and secure solutions to enable us to continue offering digital forms to members and employers.
