- To note the specification for increasing employee contributions and to alert payrolls about the upcoming changes.
Timing: Immediate – changes must be implemented to take effects from April 2013
- Following the Governments’ consultation on further changes to employee contributions the rate of the increases will be announced in the New Year. We are giving employers advance notice of these rates.
- This change means employers having to arrange for their payroll providers to updates their systems to implement the further increase.
- The specification for the further employee contributions is attached at Annex A to this notice. This specification builds on the one attached to EPN314 that introduced the increased contributions in April 2012. However, none of the technical details have been changed. At Annex B is question and answer material that you may find helpful.
