Action: To note the changes to the electronic copy of the EPG on the CSP website. (If you hold a hard copy of the EPG please destroy the existing Section 3 and replace by printing off the new version from the website)

This version of Section 3 replaces the previous version of February 2006.

The information in Section 3 gives a general overview of the pension schemes within the CSP arrangements and provides details on contributions, benefits and flexibilities. It also tells you about how to pay over your contributions.

We have revised the information in this section to include:

• the changes made to the CSP arrangements with the introduction of nuvos in July 2007;
• information on scheme flexibilities from 1 March 2008 such as the introduction of partial retirement, added pension and the withdrawal of Added Years;
•  information on paying employer contributions when a member has built up maximum years’ service.
